Vision
An interdisciplinary graduate program for a diverse cohort of students that leverages quantum mechanics and nanoscale and atom scale engineering for the deepening of fundamental science and the process of quantum devices and photonic technologies.
Goal
Train a well-rounded competitive graduate Quantum Information Science and Engineering (QISE) workforce for industry and academia.
Aim
The program aims to:
1. Recruit and train a diverse workforce of graduates with deep expertise in the QISE area with
exceptional communication skills and technical training across CQED topics.
2. Generate a collaborative environment where PIs actively enable students to benefit from peers’
research without increasing their burden toward graduation.
3. Provide students with a tailored professional path from graduate school to successful employment.
4. Imprint a self-sustaining training approach that can be transferred to other departments and schools.
