Neuroengineering and Biotechnology

Researchers at Rice are creating new tools to study and model physiological activity in complex biological systems like the brain. Informed by fundamental biophysical principles these new techniques exploit nanotechnologies, computational techniques, signal processing, synthetic biology, and photonics to advance the fundamental understanding of biology and create better therapies.
